HERBAL TEA

STRETCH

The Holidays are here and I just want to give the gift of peace and tranquility for the holidays. During the holidays there is so much to think about and so much to be thankful for. The holidays also bring about the spirit of giving. Giving doesn’t always have to come in the form of a physical gift, but it can also come as a hug, a smile, a simple phrase like I Love you etc….. As moms we tend to wear ourselves down for the love of our families. So I have decided to give the gift of Relaxation through information that is priceless and can be used over and over again to cope with the stress of everyday life.

5 Ways to De-Stress for the Holidays

Stretching is a simple way to elongate and increase oxygen to your muscles as well as detoxify the body. This is how doing Yoga, Pilates or a simple stretching exercise can relive tension from your body. You don’t have to be extremely flexible to gain the benefits from stretching. Stretching is a good way to start the day.

Pour Yourself a Cup of Herbal Tea . Herbal Teas provide the body with many different benefits for the body. Chamomile, Cat Nip, and Lemon Balm are all herbs that can be taken in a tea form to eliviate stress. Teas are a wonderful way to treat the body because it is a liquid and the body does not have to work so hard to break it down to get the nutrients it needs.

Meditation is all about quieting the mind to achieve clarity. Many people use mantras to help them to meditate. A mantra is a statement (affirmations) that works as a vehicle to take you from one state of being to the next. For example:

A warm bath is a form of hydrotherapy and can be used in many ways to relax, nurish and detoxify the body. Bath salt ( Epson salt), Aromatherapy, and Herbal baths  are some ways baths can be used to distress the body.
